Author, Lucy Eillen, has a superb handling of conflicts arising from the clash of strong wills and personalities. A TOUCH OF HONEY is a fine example of her writing style. Story line: A summer by the sea working for a famous playwright was an exciting prospect, but Cadie's first encounter with her boss, Robert Dean, proved an unnerving clash. Getting off to a bad start did not help matters, and when Cadie threatened to resign, Robert accepted.

Author, Linden Grierson, creates vivid characters caught in the web of conflicting interests. THE TREES OF TARRENTALL demonstrates this author's unique gits. Story line: Irene's dominant thought on being hired for a new job was that she would be leaving the hustle and bustle of city life to adjust to the peaceful island life of Tasmania. Irene found herself caught up in the controversy between her employer and the devastating man she had come to love.

Author, Gwyn Lavender, displays evident love and knowledge of Switzerland in FALCON ON THE MOUNTAIN. Her own experiences and observations enliven this author's descriptions of scenery and charming locale. Story line: The unexpected vacancy was a perfect solution. Teaching problem children at a center in Switzerland, Melanie Voss hoped to get over a disappointing romance. But Neil Fraser, the school's head, had a bad impression of her before she even arrived.
