A man who has it all, a lovely family, a successful business, active faith and social life suddenly loses everything and his life comes to a complete halt. Death is painful in all of its pitiful glory but when its by suicide its compounded sorrow is too much to bear for any of us. You are taken through his intimate thoughts and as you walk through this shadow of death the real picture comes into focus and that is no matter what we face in life, life is hard and unfair, that it would be utterly unbearable with God.
This book is a miracle of how one can lose your most cherished loved one through suicide and survive it, and conquer its devastation. Its a book of how a family, particularly a man, endured the most painful situation a parent can face and how hope was sucked from his life and returned gradually until he could once again feel the sun on his face and experience the beauty of life around. I give the book a 5 because it deserves it. I would share this book with anyone who has lost someone they love but particularly if the loved ones death was by suicide.
A very good book.
