These southern gals are great. This is a story of friends w/out benefits (or benefits?). Sisters have to save the family business while one is shunned for something she didn't do and one is trying to get back the man of her dreams....the other sister also finds love.

Meet 2 sisters. One left and when she returns gets a very unfriendly welcome. The other is the reason for this, although her sister really didn't do anything wrong. These stories of southern women are terrific.

When Candie Montgomery leaves her good job in Chicago to return home to help out with the family used-car business she finds that she is being shunned by everyone in her little town of Pinewood, Kentucky, all 876 of them. She soon discovers that her twin sister's engagement to Candie's best friend Nick, was broken by Nick and he used Candie as an excuse why. Damage control on her ruined reputation soon comes in the form of Tommy Tucker who is to pretend to be Candie's boyfriend just to take off the heat. She soon discovers that the heat is on with Tommy, and she isn't sure that is such a bad thing. Loved all these characters, and I am looking forward to Ms. McLane's next book! 5 stars
