This is an amazing new find for me. Let me just say first that this world is amazing, compelling and fascinating. For my young friends it is sex free although there are discussions of parentage. The heroine is a grieving young lady who is compelled shortly after her father's death into a trip to become the fifth wife of the King. After the trip continued for a few days things change and she discovers who she is in more ways than one. She will discover unique powers and insight that she has. She will discover love. I love love love this book and am reading the sequel right now. The third book is being written right now. I highly recommend this book. I hope you enjoy this world as much as I have!
Nice world-building, good characters, plot moves ahead steadily, and a sweet romance. No sex so okay for the kids. Looks like the first in a series although it stands alone very well. Sharon Shinn usually writes a good story and this is another one.
