I thoroughly enjoy Preston's books. She writes a good story, without being graphic. The story about the Berlin wall is heartwrenching and doesn't need to be elaborated for one to wonder how they would handle it. So many issues: seperating families, political beliefs and how far does anyone go for either.
I really enjoyed this book--kept me interested the whole time & I became very involved with the characters. Well done!
What would a mother do to recover a child left at the wrong side of the Berlin wall during the sepparation of East and West Germany? Read this book and you will see the extent of a mother's love.
I loved this book. Trudy Hulst had some very difficult decisions to make concerning her child. Being a mother myself with 2 sons, I don't know how she did the things she did. I could not put down this book!
