The writing style in this book was very clear and easy to read, which made it very quick. My main complaint was that none of the characters had any qualities to make them sympathetic to me (Delilah aside). Every time you would start to feel "on the side" of one of them they would show some character flaw that made them less redeemable. I understand that this is how people are in real life, so if the author was trying to communicate that, she did a good job, but if I am going to invest my time to read a 400+ page book, I want to be able to feel sympathy for or some connection with more than one of the characters.
