Serial rapists, psychologically-damaged victims and perps, and interesting plot twists make this a thoroughly enjoyable mystery. Naomi Jenkins was raped several years ago, but never told anyone because she didn't want to be pitied. Then she falls in love with a man who is perfect in every way except that of being available - he's married. When he fails to keep their once-a-week "appointment", she resorts to telling the police he raped her in order to get them to put some effort into finding him. The maze of trails for the police to follow all end up leading back to the start of Naomi's romance, but you'll have to read it to figure out how.

I love Sophie Hannah's books. They are well written and intense psychological thrillers. Highly recommend this one and I can't wait for her next one.
