I want to put together 25 books for a sort of advent calendar for my daughter.  I'm looking for Christmas stories (less about Santa, more about Jesus) at a 10-12-year-old reading level.  Short chapter books, anthologies of Christmas short stories, classics... you name it, I want it!  And I'd like to have deals for them, because I doubt I'll have 25 credits to spend between now and the first of December.  = )

Iv'e done something liek this for my daughter for the last two years.  She gets to hang something on the advent calendar, open up the doors on a paper one, & choose one of the 24Christmas books that I wrapped up in January before stashing all my Christmas stuff.  She is just turning 6 this December.

One fun book that we all like is a Lego version of the Nativity story.  It starts with Mary being told she will have a child & continues through the hunt for baby Jesus by Herod, and up to the family's flight to Egypt & their return.  I think I just made a hash out of retelling that story, but we thought it was fun.

Antoher suggestion is I think James Herriot has some Xmas stories.  Good luck & have fun
