There are books on the classics list that friends have been trying to get me to read for years. I just can't stand the idea of reading some of them, so I've decided to listen to them on audio. First I'm going to try The Scarlet Letter and see how that works out, then try some other deep classics.

I'll let you all know how I like it (or not). :)

Good idea!  I decided to try a classic on dailylit, thinking a little bit every day on my computer would be readable.  I chose The Picture of Dorian Gray because I loved what I'd heard of the storyline and I liked the Oscar Wilde plays I'd read.  Well, I must admit I might not have finished it if I had just tried to read the book.  Much wordier than I expected, especially considering it's not that long a book.  I love the dailylit concept, though.
