She's from Virginia, operating a quilt shop in Bath, England. Her relatives at home think she's crazy to stay there and after she runs into a murder among quilts and Animal Liberation activity, she may have to agree - or find the solution. Cozy with interesting characters and locale.

I loved this book and am working on getting the entire series. It combines two things that I really love in a mystery - an intelligent amateur sleuth and an English village. Add to that the sleuth is an American widow of a "certain age" as I am who owns a very American shop selling quilts & other Americana in an English village.

If you enjoy English village mysteries, I guarantee you will enjoy sleuthing with Elizabeth Blair and her young private-eye neighbor Max Shepard.
