The Whitmans claimed that Harold Page was an insane killer. They had labeled him dangerous and the police believed them.

But young Edie Thompson didn't believe them. She thought he was innocent, even romantic, and that his strange ways were a mask for his terror.

And so she hid him in the secluded turret room, not really knowing if she was sheltering an innocent -- or setting the stage for another murder...hers.
