A decent true-crime. Hard to believe intelligent, ambitious people would live in such a demented and depressing marriage. But, the victim stayed with this nut case through 27 years. Very sad. Well reported and a quick read.

Too close to home! Having lived in Gloucester for the past 33 years, I'm not sure why I chose to relive this terrible tragedy. Perhaps it was because I am familiar with many of the places and some of people mentioned in the book. I never met Richard Sharpe but onced transported patients to his East Gloucester practice. I cannot say I enjoyed reading this book, yet I could not put it down.
