This book is an autobiography by Margaret Murie telling of her growing up, marrying and following her husband, who was a Biologist for the US Government, to Alaska to document and survey the land and most importantly the animals, birds, and insects that live there. The book starts in the early 1900's and continues on to the 1970's when Alaska was unspoiled by the growth of civilization. I found this book to be fun to read and educational all at the same time!
