This was a lot different from the normal horror themes of King's books. It was a little boring for me to read, but in the end there was a twist to tie in the rest of the book. If you are a Stephen King fan, you should read it and find out for yourself! Plus it is only like 70 pages or something like that.

A short story published as a wee 5.25 x 4.25-inch, 88-page book in 1995 for Penguin\'s 60th anniversary. Also appeared in the 1993 collection Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

The story begins as a Raymond Chandler pastiche, and follows a private investigator named Umney as he goes about what he thinks is just another morning. He soon discovered that his life as he knows it is falling apart, and he\'s brooding alone in his office when he receives his final client... (If you\'ve read enough Stephen King, you can guess who that last client is.)
