There must be something wrong with me. I have read dozens of gooey romances with happy sappy endings & the majority of readers give them 4 stars, while I give it 2 &1/2 or maybe a 3. Here we have a gooood storyline with real meat on its bones, & I'm ready to give it a 4.5, & the majority give it a 3. I am not a fan of westerns, even of modern ones, but this book was better than good. The characters were realistic and believeable. The sex was hot & well-written, not just thrown in for the fun of it. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Another hot book from Beth Williamson. This was not a western set in the past but in modern day. Her sex was more modern and better written than in previous books. Either way, a decent story.

Alex's emotional suffering was very realistic but not to the point of being angst ridden. She had to simultaneously work through her issues while dealing with her attraction to Conner which made situations more volatile. Some of the secondary characters weren't developed so well so as to give a stronger background and to add a little more tension, but the plot was good, the sex was hot and adventurous, making it an good read overall. 3.8 stars.
