I read the first book in this series in 2016 and, from what my review states, I must have enjoyed it. Still, even from that book's description I can't remember what it was about. This is unusual for me.
So, I can only surmise this three-book trilogy is just light sci-fi which you read for enjoyment, but don't think about after you finish it. And this is the way I felt about book #2 also. Even the author describes the book as possibly being in the "Military Science Romantic Fantasy" genre.
