This book is from the eighties so not very up very up to date so may not have information on newer cults. Has a brief history of many popular religions that call themselves Christian. McDowell and Stewart start with what aspects of a religion would make you consider they are a cult. Then they list the beliefs that are the basis of Christianity. Each cult has it's own short chapter with a brief history and then compares the beliefs of that religious sect with the Bible's teachings. I read the book to gain a better understanding of the "cults". They use many quotes from various publications from each religion covered. I liked the book, it was an easy read.
