This is a really good book! I love the way the main character's younger sister prays and gives thanks over "every little thing!" It's adorable! And Winnie herself learns that "God is in the Little Things!" I DO NOT like the way the father treats Winnie, and he was wrong to bring a woman home after Winnie's mothers death.
Don't be fooled by the horses! These books are for all girls! The main charector loves horses, but the real charm is in the charectors themselves. A heart-moving and inspiring series of a girl whom w/the events envolving her sister, dad, and newfound friends; finds her courage to talk to God again.
I would say the charectors may be 11-14 yrs. old, but are idealistically more mature.
I have never read any book that has given a child a more realistic vision of having a relationship with God as these! You will love the children, wish you had friends like these, and rather, want to be one. GET THEM ALL!!!
