In Unhealthy Anonymous, author Dr. Pete Sulack lays the groundwork for a healthier way of living for anyone willing to make a few modifications or adjustments. This book is not, however, about weight loss or dieting; it is about improving overall health which typically will, in turn, result in any necessary weight loss. Twelve steps to a healthier, happier life are presented in separate chapters which give statistics and scientific research. Also scattered throughout are sections titled "Wake-Up Call" which highlight startling facts. "Evolution vs. Revolution" sections show step by step how to transition from where you are to where you should be. Inspirational stories are included from individuals who came to Dr. Pete with serious health problems, yet have followed this program and significantly improved their health.
I really enjoyed this book and the premise of whole body health rather than the presentation of another fad diet whose only goal is to lose weight. The ideas presented are well worth reading.
