Incredible writing! A compelling story of a family trying to adopt an orphan from Ukraine. The society and bureaucracy is so dysfunctional and random that it nearly crushes Kim, the mom who remained in Ukraine trying to go through legal channels of adoption. With God's help and the intervention of like-minded people, she resorts to other methods of freeing her son from a hopeless future in his birth country. It was hard to believe I was reading of events occurring in the twenty-first century!
