A tale of 17th century war between Denmark and Sweden, and the life of a boy caught in that war. Rivetting, and absolutely wonderful for any older child or teen who loves historical fiction. A withdrawn library book, well used but still able to be cherished. Be on the watch for Haugaard books - this is the only one we've owned, but we've read others from the library and they're all special.
