A great beginner's atlas, I'd say that it's geared for 2nd graders (I'm going to try it out on my 2nd grade class tomorrow), the first half (26 pages) goes into climates of the world with brightly colored pictures, the last part shows the continents, once again in bright colors and with pictures of native animals and "local color" (like flamenco dancer, jazz musician).

This book is great for teaching little kids about the world and geography. It has a picture find at the bottom of the pages that my 5 year old loves. In 2 days, she could name the continents and the oceans.
