A good premise very badly executed. There are no sympathetic or even vaguely realistic characters in this story. From the earliest pages you have no reason to care about any of the characters and you just want the book to end. The psychobabble dialogue is exhausting, and the fact that this is one of those books that ends with the tired "did this really happen, or not?" is just the last nail in its coffin.
