I picked this up because I really like the collaborative works between Lincoln Child and Preston Douglas. However, I was very disappointed in this story. There was lots of description of the theme park but little depth in the characters and an extremely thin plot with almost laughable situations. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this one. Whoever the reviewers are who enjoyed this book must have read a different book with the same title. I will continue to read the works written in collaboration with Mr. Douglas, however.

This was the first book I've read written by Lincoln Child by himself. I found it to be exciting. I found it hard to put down to tend to real life's requirements.

Read like a made-for-TV movie. Predictable plot, shallow characters and cheesey dialog.

Despite a series of serious technological problems, a massive, futuristic theme park called Utopia continues its daily business of entertaining tens of thousands of people. Until, that is, the park is seized by criminals who have hacked into the park's complex computer system, threatening the lives of everyone unlucky enough to visit that day

My brother in law passed this along - he said it was too scary to read on an amusement park vacation!

Great read if you like techno-thrillers. Lincoln Child is a co-author of many horror thrillers including Relic, Reliquary, Cabinet of Curiosities
This solo run is well done and riveting!

Well I have found yet another writer that I absolutely LOVE. This book packs a little romantic stress, a lot of covert action AND an absolutely phenomenal concept for the theme park of the future out near, where else?, Las Vegas. Loved it. Ordering another book by him right now. Another action packed book by a great writer and characters you would like to meet.......or NOT!

Taught thriller that takes place in a futuristic amusement park. Overall I really enjoyed this one -- especially the descriptions of the park itself that utilized robotics and holograms as part of its 4 worlds. This was a great combination of science fiction and techno-thriller. I've read a couple of books by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child that I have enjoyed. This is the first I've read by Child on his own and would definitely recommend it. I have several more Preston/Child novels on my TBR shelf that I hope to get to soon.
