I have a book listed that is on several people's wishlists and it appears on my account page as "wishlist hold" which means, I assume, that the wisher hasn't responded to the request as to whether they want it.  The problem is that I am going out of town for over a week on Tuesday July 31 and have put my account "on hold" beginning on that date.   What happens if the "wisher" doesn't respond before I leave and my account goes on hold?  I am frustrated at their lack of response, but they are going to be even more so if I don't respond when they say they want it.  Should I remove the book from my bookshelf and relist it after I get back on about the 9th of August?  Any profound wisdom?  I have been on here a long time and have never come across this situation before.

The wishlist hold is either for 1 hour if on auto request or 48 hours if just wishlisted. You can't remove the book from your bookshelf while it is on hold (the checkbox is replaced with an exclamation point). All you can do is hope they accept before you go out of town or it will just show as if you didn't respond once they do accept.

I would send them a Private Message to explain the situation.

The problem has probably been solved.  I sent her a PM and she was out of credits.  I "gifted" her one and she is going to do likewise back when she has them.  Thus she wasn't ignoring me, she was just waiting until she could get a credit in so she could respond.

How nice to see a happy story in the forums and on a Monday too!  Great way to start the week. :)

I just got done wrapping up 3 requests, so I am hoping that some of that wishlist karma that has been written about in the forums this past week,  heads my way.

Winston, for a crabby-doctor you are not acting like one. :)  Bless you for being so kind AND hope you have a great vacation!
