An excellent collection of short stories featuring "ladies of the night". These are not light, "cute" stories ala Maryjanice Davidson, but much darker and cerebral. I especially liked the story by Tanith Lee, a twist on the fairy tale of Snow White.

This is a compilation of several different short stories by different authors and they all revolve around vampires. Great for a quick read.

This is a book of female vampire stories, and there are some real gems here. A 'Salem's Lot story by Stephen King and a short story by Robert Bloch and a sinister take on the Snow White fairy tail by Tanith Lee are the contemporary stories. There are also many older stories, from the 1800s and early twentieth century. These stories are interesting because they offer a glimpse into another time period with different values and views. Overall, this book is a pretty good read- some of the stories are genuinely scary, others sad, others are interesting relics of the time in which they were written. If you'd like to see how the vampire story developed over the years, this is a good book to read- and even if that does not interest you, there are a few really good stories here.
