This is a very quick read, with short, choppy chapters and lots of action. Almost every chapter ends on a "mini-cliffhanger." However, this style did not provide much opportunity for character development. I would have liked to know more about each of the main characters, other than the superficial information we are given. This lack of character development greatly lessened the emotional impact of the ending. I wasn't invested enough to care what happened to the characters, beyond wanting to understand the plot twist.

Great story----a constant roller coaster of twists and turns to keep you trying to guess what's really going on. Can't wait to read another book by Tom Pawlik!

I am SOOOOO not a fan of Christian books......BUT this is a really good read. I have no tolerence for preachy-warm-fuzzy religion with my reading. This book made the mark on all counts. The ending brought it all together for a home-run.
If you like "last person on Earth" stories, 'survivor against all odds', mixed in with danger, chases, and a dash of social interaction-this is for you. You wake up and everyone on Earth is gone...but you. Where did everyone go? This book has some sharp turns and neat twists to it....and in the end?...well, it all makes sense.
