I think this is an excellent cookbook, but definitely for someone new to veganism. It went over most recipes I have already encountered or versions of them. With the boom of veganism, sometimes simple recipes are already all over the Web. The appeal of this book is the measurements for a single person or two people, which is best for baking. If you are new at cooking, too, this would be an excellent guide until you get your "vegan legs." (instead of sea legs.)
