Ugh....

Must vent a bit on this book.  I enjoyed the first two stories.  I like the family.  But Tyler's story was a big let-down to me.

I'm not a prude and like to suspend reality as much as the first person but...

Ok, so she hasn't seen him in years, other than to give him a ride the other day when his car broke down.  He cheated on her and dumped her years ago.  Now, she sees him for the second time in the grocery store and just by looking at her and thinking sexy thoughts he makes her climax.  In the grocery store.  While they are chatting.  With his potential son nearby.  Yeah.  Right.

She agrees to have dinner with him.  She's all worried about not wanting to fool around with him.  But, she doesn't even make him feed her.  She agrees to go to his house.  Where she proceeds to remove her panties while still in the driveway and hang them on the side mirror of the truck.  And have crazy monkey sex with him.  After which, she's concerned that he's only going to think this is sex.  Gee...do ya think it's maybe because you acted like a 'ho?

I enjoy the sex in my books but the characters were really lamo in this one.  There were no substantive conversations between the H and the h.  All they talked about was sex.

The whole thing was really ridiculous.  The only redeeming factor was the relationship between him and his possible son.  Otherwise there was nothing to care about with either of these two.

I totally agree with you Sara. Logan and Dylan's stories are on my keeper shelf while I wanted to throw Tyler's book out the window. Tyler's book had so much potential, but it read totally fluffy and like you said lots of crazy sex scenes.

Bummer!

I also love the way both of them just constantly dumped the kids on everyone else so they could run around having sex everywhere.

Count me as one of the disappointed.  I generally love her books, but this one was a let-down.

Well crap!  LOL   I have Dylan's and Logan's books on my TBR, but haven't ordered Tyler's yet.  Now I'm not even sure I want to waste a credit!  lol

I liked it ok...I didn't think any of the stories were 100% believable..I think with Tyler's story that the couple really did care for each other back in the beginning and never stopped. Tyler screwed up big-time with his father's death..heck none of them had a normal life. I did notice how they conveniently dump the kids off though! and the sex happened a lot sooner in this one compared to the other 2. Heck Dylan did it too! Now the book of hers that DID bug me is McKettrick's Pride..jsut finished that and the man has plenty of money yet dumps his 2 daughtes off on hs mil after his wife/her only child dies..for 5 friggin' years!  hello?? man up time??

Like I said, I like the series.  And, of course, you do want to read Tyler so you know what happens and have some closure.

If she'd spent just a little bit more time updating the connection between the two it would have made a lot more sense.  If he had been charming, etc. then maybe the rushed sex would not have been so unbelievable.  As it was, on their first date, when they haven't even had what constitutes a conversation in my mind let alone address any of their unfinished business, he just asks her if they can skip dinner and just "get down to business."  Ah, be still my beating heart, what a romantic!  And then she has to do the fake protesting thing, and then whip off her own panties.  Classy.

Just be prepared- it's not nearly as good as the others in my opinion!
