A great finale to Shaara's WWII trilogy set in the European theater. Shaara recreates the experience of war by putting the reader in the trenches with buck privates and in the war rooms of Eisenhower and Rommel, Churchill and Hitler. The first book covers Northern Africa and Sicily, the second Normandy, and this finale begins with the Battle of the Bulge. If you are a fan of history, I highly recommend this series.

Excellent conclusion to Shaara's WWII series. The whole book is very interesting and depicts a very vivid image of what the final push into Germany was like for both the Allied and Axis forces. Those who have watched the "Band of Brothers" TV series may find the book very similar, but it's still worth the read.
