This book contains the 3rd and 4th books in the Tales of Turnham Malpas and they are worthy additions...more characters introduced, but the old friends are there as well, with drama and pathos and wit to spare. I am really enjoying this series which I would describe as "Miss Read updated for contemporary readers". Love a tale set in a small English village? Then this is definitely a series for you!
