MAJOR SPOILER + LOW RATING ( for a pretty unsatisfactory book):

Major problems with this 11th Ghostwalker tale:
1. Dreadful plot with tons of dialogue redundant sex with a really macho guy. Characters: Many are supposedly Cajun folks, but they seem as authentic as a scene from the set of the Beverly Hillbillies (complete with a pipe smokin' grub cookin' shotgun totin' granny)
2. Three creepy little toddlers, who are (sadly) lab created hybrid human/poisonous animal, and are named after spices. They can't control their defensive reactions, and their poisons are deadly, so they're aren't too lovable. Are we supposed to connect with them?
3. A beautiful, brave, lab created incubus (also named for a spice), who's been forced into a life of sexually demeaning jobs: she ends up mind melded with the main character, Wyatt, who belongs in a BDSM book: "Got news for you, baby, I'm always goin' to be tellin' you what to do. You bought that life when you gave me the go-ahead".
That one sentence is grounds for Zero stars. This isn't supposed to be a 50 shades book about dominant men....

Only saving graces: a new character, Trap, who's got possibilities, and his female counterpart (must be a future girlfriend for book 12) who is also poisonous. This time, it's a spider hybrid. I understand shapeshifters who are feline or canine, but hybrid humans with reptile and arachnid abilities are really repulsive. Only other good point: Although the action comes in the very last part of the book, it's good stuff.

I think these Ghostwalker stories started out as a strong series, which I enjoyed, but in time the books became "burnouts".
This book was a waste of a good credit.Big disappointment. Little plot, little action. Pretty much hard core porn without the pictures
