So glad I read the book - I now have a very high opinion of the movie. It was perfectly cast, and the actresses perfectly portray McMillan's characters. The book is full of heart, laughs, frustrations. A novel with soul.

Terry Mcmillan can write 'em like nobody else: just a tad bawdy, very real book explores human relationships and loves.

"Hilarious, irreverent, Terry McMillian,s heroines observe men-and contemporary America-with brawdy humor, occasional melancholy and great affection....throughly entertaining..."
