I am relatively new, and have done more sending than ordering at this point.  I do have a few questions that I hope someone can help me with.

If I request a book, how long does the individual have before I either find out they didn't respond (rather than continuing checking each and every day), or that the request is passed on to another person?  Also, how long does someone have to check that a book is received?

Hi Christine; welcome to PBS.

When you request a book the member has 5 days to respond . At the end of 5 days, it goes to the next person who has the book (FIFO).

When a book is sent, it must be marked  received before the 26th day after the date mailed. If not, the system will take action and declare it lost. If a lost book is received later than the 26th day, you can mark it received in your Transaction Archive, on your main page.
