I had a hard time getting into this one, but I did like the end.

Detective Mason Brown asks Rachel de Luca for help on a case. Someone is killing transplant victims. All of the patients received organs that came from Mason's brother. That puts Rachel on the top of the list of potential victims since she received his corneas. In an attempt to keep her safe, Masons packs up Rachel and his extended family and heads out of town to a remove ski lodge for the holidays. But the killer has followed them and more bodies are turning up.
This is the second book in the Brown & de Luca series. I liked the first book in the series, but loved this one. Rachel is a sassy self-help guru who doesn't take crap from anybody. She has only had her sight back for four months and wants to get used to it before diving into a relationship with Mason. Mason is a guy who is always trying to protect the people he cares about, even if his some of the things he does are sometimes questionable.
The ski lodge setting was fun, especially when the storm hit and everyone was stranded with a killer in their midst. I didn't guess the villain at all, but looking back I see the clues were all there. Can't wait for the next book in the series. My rating: 5 Stars.

The second in the trilogy, and just as good as the first. So far I can't think of one complaint in either book, and am looking forward to the third due out in March if I remember right. My favorite character is Mrytle the blind dog.
