  This wall I've built
around myself
is made up of my
emotions.

It's so thick and
so high
that although you cannot
get in,
I cannot get out.

You see my little
protective wall
is built on past
hurts and
new fears.

There are times though
that I do want out
and maybe~
just maybe~
you will catch me
with my guard down
and I will be
set free.

It will be a
difficult task
but with time, patience
and understanding
it can be accomplished.

And if you can break
the bonds
and free me of my
self made prison
My heart will be yours
forever
