Novel about a Chinese warlord in 1920's. Includes multiple interesting characters, including a Russian aristocrat who escaped the Bolsheviks; an American missionary; arms traders; and other warlords and bandits. Fast-paced and well-written.

This was a most interesting book of the Asian thought process and culture. It was not as good as the Shogun series but not much is that good. I would suggest it if old Asian culture is an interest.
