It is packed with a rich variety of images from the extensive photographic and picture archives of the first joint Museum and Library in the country, including many images which have never before been published. Warrington is one of the great industrial towns of north-west England, but unlike many of its neighbours it was not a 'one industry' community. Instead it has always had a very wide economic base, with many different trades and a rich variety of industrial history.
