The Way: The Living Bible-Illustrated. My favorite Bible, it's easy to read and understand. It is an older book from the 70's from the photos throughout the book. My first copy was the first Bible I had ever bought and mine fell apart from so much use (paperback version). I liked it because the language is similar to what we use everyday. There are stories about people before most of the chapters to explain what was going on and a parallel to our time period. It has 1116 pages, First printing was July 1972 and ninth, August 1973. I laughed when I saw the cover price of $5.95 as I recently picked up my second copy of the book from PBS in 2012.
