I have a set of books I want to send altogther (they are already up in the bazaar) but I wanted to see if any of my friends wanted them.  They are all wishlisted, so I can't just post them, and I would rather send them all to one address.  Short of pulling up everyone individually, is there a way to find out if anyone has a certain isbn number on their wishlist without actually posting a book?

I wish there was a way!!  If you find out, let me know but I don't think there is a way to do it unfortunately.

Carole, since you are a Gold Key member, you can tell if an ISBN is on the wishlist of anyone on your friends list.

Click on the POST BOOKS tab, you should see the page that says "post a single book" and the box for the ISBN.  Put the ISBN in the box (you don't have to click the check button!)  Once you've put the last digit of the book in the box, IF one of your friends is wishing for the book, it will tell you that on the right hand side of the page.  If you see that message, copy down the name of the friend and you can look at their wishlist to see if they want the other books too.  If you don't see the message, no one on your friends list has the book on their WL.  Then back up, don't click POST THIS BOOK or it will be offered to someone.

you have the gold key so do it like Diane suggests. If none of your friends has it on their WL you can just not hit the final Post This Book Button. I just hit the Post This book button on one of my WL TBR books. None of my friends has it on their WL so it just has the Post This Book Button where it reminds you about what has to match.

When you put the ISBN in, as soon as you hit the last digit of the number, the screen will show you the "a friend has this on their wishlist" message--IF any of your friends has it on their WL.  There will be a choice of posting it to any of your friends that has the book on their WL, or posting to FIFO.

If that message does not appear (it'll be on the right hand side of the page, you might have to scroll down a little to see it, I can't remember) then you should back out of the screen if you don't want to post the book that way.  If none of your friends has it on their WL, and you click on POST THIS BOOK, yes, it will go to FIFO.

Yes, Gold Key members have a limited search option.  When the ISBN is entered, if any of your friends have the book on their wishlist, it will appear in the posting box.  A drop down menu that will list all (if any) friends wishing for the book or the FIFO option.
