Is there a way that the PBS team could go through and remove the books that are on people's wishlists of accounts that aren't active? I just posted 15 books that were wishlisted and when I went to check on them, all 15 were wishlisted, but no one was active. It just seems crazy to hold up wishlists of people who are no longer using Paperback Swap. Theresa |

I've expressed this for years, it's gotten even more noticeable since covid ~~ |

There is already a system in place for this. If you don't respond to a few requests in a row, the system will automatically suspend your account. This suspension is announced by an email and can be removed by you very easily. This suspension has a twofold purpose:
This suspension is not punitive - it helps keep the system running better for the member and for the club as a whole. |

Also, if a member doesn't log in for 18 months, the account is automatically suspended. If an account is no longer active, that member's Wish List isn't active either. I'm trying to picture what you were seeing when you say all 15 books were wishlisted, but no one was active. If they didn't respond to your offer before the 2-day deadline, the book was removed from their Wish List and your offer was automatically passed to the next wisher. That wouldn't make them inactive -- maybe just away from their account for a few days, and forget to put it on Vacation Hold, but, as Rebecca said, if they ignore consecutive Wish List offers, their account will be placed on hold. If you give us 3 or 4 of the ISBNs, one of us can try to figure out what's happening. Last Edited on: 7/12/25 1:19 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

"to prevent an inactive member's Bookshelf from being drained of books during a time when she is unable to manage her account for whatever reason."So, this means it doesn't apply to guys? Isn't that sexist? |
