I'm always impressed when an author can write a child that seems real and Leigh nails it with this one. Murphy's dad has died, so he's left with Isabella, his dad's fiance;. She's overwhelmed and moves to Weaver, Wyoming for a better environment. Watching her fall in love with Erik is great, and the way the community cares for her and Murphy is heart-warming. Excellent choice on a day when you need a happy ending!
