I loved this book. It just has so much wisdom and provides a model for living. The values imparted in this book gave me a path to follow. It's on the level of Anne Lindberg's book in its wisdom and peaceful tone. Loved it!

This book really gives you insight into what life was like for pioneers in the early 1900's in Minnesota. Lots of interesting stories.

I love reading stories about the "olden days". This is a lovely collection of memories from the author's childhood. Stories to make you laugh, stories to make you cry. I have my favorites (especially the first one - "The Wedding Dress"), and perhaps one or two that I skip when re-reading the book. Altogether, I'm glad to have this on my shelf!
