Wow!  

I'm not really sure how news about my dad got around (I searched, but didn't find the thread) but THANK YOU to everyone who sent emails, cards (via snail mail),etc.  I was in touch with Valli over the past week...

My dad passed away last Sunday, peacefully and surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.  The funeral was this past Thursday and was one of the most uplifting funerals I've ever been too. Friends and family members who I haven't seen in ages showed up - and while it was great to see them, it was bittersweet. 

I'll miss my dad tremendously -- but in all honestly, I know he's in a better place where he's no longer suffering.  I pray my mom has the strength to carry on; and believe that she does.  The upcoming holidays will be weird without him, but the memories will carry me through.

Excuse the typos - I'm a bit exhausted today.  I've been traveling since 5 AM this morning and once my husband arrived home, we;ve been on the go.  So looking forward to sleeping in...

Welcome back Marci. So sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. My sincere condolences to you and your family. I'm so glad you have such wonderful memories to comfort you.
