I sent a woman a book a while ago and I've been waiting for her to mark it as received. I clicked on her name today and it says she is no longer a member. So now I am out a book and I never received my credit!!!!! What can I do about this?!?!?

Check your transaction archive, You should have received your credit back. When that happened to me the returned credit came from a "Tour Guide" with no explanation so I was a bit confused but I got my credit back. jan

Yes, Sarah.  Give the system a chance to work!   It's so much less trouble for R&R that way.

When it goes lost, the system will automatically refund your credit if the receiver's account is not active.  If you don't get your credit back for some reason (check your credit registry on your account page), then at that point you would send in feedback.  But it should just happen automatically.

I would wait until the 11th until they have things sorted out. They have probably emailed the person to let them know their account has problems and they are waiting for a response  before they just close and take credits and such.

I have a brand new hard back copy of Janet Evanovich's Motor Mouth.  I have listed it and have noticed that there are folks who have this on their wish list, yet I haven't received a notice to mail it to anyone.  I just don't understand. Can you explain this to me?

Judith, is it the same ISBN that you see the WL?  did you just post it and is there a grey ! next to it on your bookshelf?

you can always go into the book bazaar and put a post that says you have a hardback copy of the book on your bookshelf

"It says not to contact them before the 11th.. do I have to wait that long?"

I had to smile at this.. (not in a mean way; I understand your impatience, but "wait until the 11th" seems like a pretty clear instruction)

I'd recommend familiarizing yourself with the way things work and trying to avoid unrealistic expectations regarding timing. I hope your book shows up, but even if it doesn't, you'll get your credit back and be out only a little time. If time really is critical for you, I'd recommend Amazon, Half or one of the meta-search engines like Campusi.com or Bigwords. I use PBS only for non-time-critical books and avoid a lot of heartburn that way!

I just had my first book that I mailed 2 weeks ago end up with a person that is no longer an account holder.  I guess this means I wait 2 more weeks and it will go lost and then I will get my credit?
