I've been writing for years, and while I've written a lot of original works, I LOVE fanfiction.  I'm curious what everyone around here likes to write in their fanfiction...what shows/books, etc, spring your stories to life?
Over the years I've dabbled in Legend of Zelda, TMNT, Power Rangers, The Crow, and my current fanfiction writing addiction is for The Tribe.  I do a lot of RPG's writing based for Roswell, Buffy, The Tribe, and Dark-Hunter too.
What do you guys like?  What inspires you, and which of the characters do you feel  more inside the heads of?

I like writing Buffy and Smallville fan fiction.  I used to write Roswell, but I also write original works as well.  I used to be a part of an RPG with I think Roswell but it was a long time ago.  They are fun to be part of.  When I write, I feel in the mind of Buffy and often Willow.  I have written Buffy and Spike stories as well as Willow and Spike stories.  I have also attempted to write Charmed stories, my favorite one being  a Leo and Paige story..:)

Whenever I play the RPG stuff I'm a big one to play Spike. LOL A friend of mine loves to crossover Buffy and Smallville and play couplings for Willow and Clark.

I'm a bit more of a rebel I guess I'm a comics fan fiction writer but the site I'm part of took Marvel Comics X-men and said "What if they had kids" and we have been merrily playing along for more than five years now. I tend to "write" scenes in my head for other things but never really put them to paper. The closest I have ever gotten to other fan fiction is when I wrote a different ending to the final Matrix movie because I despised how they did it.

And I've tried RP/RPG but I just don't have the time to make it fair to anyone else in the group.

I used to write a lot of Neopets rps and fanfics.  I also have written a few for the Underland Chronicles...I suppose it's ending left me wanting a little more.

I'm not a fanfic writer but a very avid reader.  I read:

Xfiles

Stargate SG-1

Stargate Atlantis

The Sentinel

Buffy

I'll read anything from Gen to Slash with warnings.  I'm really open LOL... heh heh... maybe too open.

As a reader, I used to devour X-Files fanfic, and then Dark Angel fanfic.  Then I was so disatisfied with season 3 of Alias that I attempted to write some of my own, which led me to writing novel-length original fiction.  So I love fanfic!  It sure inspired me!

I've glanced over fanfic written for many series, but just couldn't get into them, I'm supposing for lack of true interest.

I'm a devoted, rabid Transformers writer and reader. Most of my fic is a G1-centric mixture of cartoon and U.S. comic continuity, with a sprinkling of the U.K. comic when it suits purposes. It runs the range from G-rated fun to stuff you lock the door to read.

I've a main OV/fan character, and some that I've adopted from friends or received as presents from friends in the TF community (yes, we give characters as presents. Go figure). As far as 'official' characters, the Decepticon Seeker jets, are the loudest proponents of me writing. Others make themselves known, but those three jokers are most vocal.

Inspiration crops up from everywhere! Songs on the radio, a road sign, magazine articles..even a booklet from the state employment center.

I write lots of fanfics, but I stick to more weird ones and funny ones like a crossover of Jackass and Beavis and Butthead. I have also done  Mr Austins Neighborhood which is a parody of Mr Rogers Neighborhood featuring the WWE's Stone Cold Steve Austin. I have done some more serious ones as well including some Highlander, and Land of the lost fics.

I read it a alot.  I only discovered it recently  (where have I been?  Reading other things, LOL)  And I've written some Stargate SG-1 stories- which is my favorite to read, too.  Nothing that I've posted anywhere yet, but probably around the end of the year I'll get it out there.

I love to write and read fanfiction. Recently, I've been writing some for Cars by Pixar.  Silly, I know. The really weird thing is, I think my Cars stories are better than any of my original stories.  A pity, because you can't sell fanfiction! But its loads of fun. Do any of you have accounts on fanfiction.net?  I love that place.

If anyone wants to make me ecstatically happy, please read my stuff!! Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll post a link.  I will read your stuff also if its a show I'm familiar with.

:-)

My fanfiction topic of interest is Jurassic Park, particularly the characters of Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler.  I love to write about them and I usually really like to read about them too.

I'm just now breaking from strictly Buffy and getting into watching the Angel spinoff of the TV show, so I can promise myself that I'll more than likely start writing some Angel fanfic and RPG's. LOL  I've fallen for the Wolfram and Hart guy Linsday.  He just can't be a total bad guy.  He's just a victim of circumstance I'm sure.  I'm going to see him change....or at least write him that way. ;)

I've only been writing for Hex, American Gothic, and Grindhouse-Planet Terror. But I read a lot different kinds. Right now I'm reading a lot of Doctor Who (9 and 10) and Torchwood. I also like to read subspecies and any horror fanfic that I can get my hands on.

I write slash fiction only. My favorite fandoms are Supernatural, Smallville, One Tree Hill, the 4400 and sometimes I spiral into that special hell called RPS (mostly read but don't write it). I occassionally will write a movie fic but that is very rare.

HI!

I mainly write Snape Fanfics (not one with Hermoine!)

I have also written various fanfics on any movie that Alan Rickman is in. I write about the characters he plays NOT about the actual person. Just thought I would make that clear.

I also write original fiction  and that is my main focus and just use fanfiction as  stress outlet OR to test out a character I wish to use in another settting.

I read various fanfics, and am interested in the X-files fanfic mentioned above. Would you be able to send me some links via PM. I will give feedback/reviews on every story I read. Its nice to know what bits work best or what characters are people favs.

Have a creative day :)
