In my Young Adult Lit class we discussed 2 other series similar to Gossip Girls, but I haven't read them.  But then I didn't like Gossip Girls so I probably won't. : )  Anyway, they are A-List and Clique.  Perfect is another, but it isn't a series.

Perfect is good, and the sequel too.

I'm not a big fan of the Gossip Girl books -  I could never get into them - but I know a lot of people who like them also like:

-The Au Pairs series by Melissa de la Cruz

-the series by Hobson Brown that begins with "The Upper Class"

-The It Girl series by Cecily von Ziegesar (who wrote the Gossip Girl series)

I'd also recommend the series by Megan McCafferty that begins with "Sloppy Firsts" (then, Second Helpings, Charmed Thirds, etc). You may also enjoy the Georgia Nicolson books by Louise Rennison, they're really hilarious.

The Fearless series, and the follow-up series (I don't know the name of that one) and any books by Tamora Pierce. The Pierce books are at least as good, but those are fantasy/medievel not high school

The Clique series is really good!  I also second the Georgia Nicholson books.

I don't know much about Gossip Girl, but a series that I really like is the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer

"The Wessex Papers" series is similar-- it's about teens at a boarding school, filled with just as much sex and drug use as Gossip Girls if that's what you mean. "The Black book" by Jonah Black is a little similar, too.
