There are a couple of very good recipes that were new to me, such as "Bereavement Corn", "Pineapple Casserole with a Cheddar Crust", and "Mushroom & Gruyere Cheesecake" which is really a labor intensive quiche in a springform pan. Most of the recipes were basic dishes that I already cook: cucumber and tomato salad, caesar salad, barbequed ribs, meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, vegetable soup, potato soup, deviled eggs (although there are 12 versions to correspond with each month of the year), banana bread, peanut butter cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies; and many were dishes that didn't appeal to me so I didn't even try them. They were probably very good, but just not anything that I would make for my family or share with neighbors, friends, or company. The book does include menu suggestions to pull the recipes together for start to finish meals, and tips on how to transport some of the recipes. Worth taking a look at, but not a must-have for my recipe shelf.

Not worth the money I paid for it. I really didn't find anything unusual or anything that I would eat from this book.
