There are a lot of people on here that say they like to read cozie books.  What are they?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Generally a series of mystery books with the same central characters and location, and not a lot of gore.  The central character is not law enforcement, but solves crimes.  There's usually no overt violence.

Example:

Story 1: A owns a tea shop in a small town.  When A's friend's husband is killed, A's friend falls under suspicion, so A tries to help her out by investigating on her own. Story 2: A finds a body outside her shop, and decides to ask some questions, but runs into trouble.

If you head on over to the mystery forum you may find some threads of interest to you.  And if you locate a book title you like here on PBS and it has a tag that says cozy or something, try clicking on it.  I've recently started reading them and have enjoyed them so far.
