Was that the date on a meter strip or was it a stamped postmark. If it was a stamped post mark it probably sat around a PO forever. If its on the meter strip it was printed the day they mailed and you should put it in the servey when you mark it recieved. |

It could have been returned to the person, but they should have PM'ed you. VERY odd. |

That's such a huge discrepancy in times - I would have to guess the book got returned to the original sender after having floated around in a postal netherworld for who knows how long. I can't imagine anyone would actually send a book that much time after it had been marked lost. But yes, they should have PM'd you to let you know the book had been returned to them, and given you the choice of whether or not to request it again, since for all they knew you might have gotten a copy since then. |

maybe they were a newer member and didn't think to look in the transaction archive to send the person a PM at least you got it! That's awesome! |

Sounds to me like someone just didn't get around to mailing the book. Call me cynical if you want...but unless a postal employee noticed the date on the meter strip, the person could have run the meter strip and then the book could have sat in their car for a month. It's impossible to really know. |
